LIMITED WARRANTY
MOTOW (“Manufacturer”) warrants that each MoTow device used and/or operated by the original purchaser under normal use in the continental United States or Canada will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for up to one (1) year following the original purchase, subject to the requirements, exclusions and limitations stated below. The obligation of this Limited Warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any MoTow part or parts, which in the opinion of the Manufacturer are defective in materials or workmanship under normal use and service during the Limited Warranty period commencing at the date of purchase of the MoTow.
This warranty does not cover problems caused by normal wear and tear including (but not limited to) weather, scratches, dents, rust, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, misuse, abuse, neglect, theft, unauthorized modifications, or unauthorized repair. No warranty is given for defects resulting in incorrect assembly, incorrect installation onto the vehicle, incorrect attachments of motorcycles, bicycles, scooters or other racks or cargo onto the cradle, carriers, Hitch Lift, or overloading and/or not adhering to the MoTow product load limit. This warranty terminates if the original purchaser transfers the product to any other person. If the MoTow is leased, rented, used for commercial hauling, or for any use not expressly permitted, this Limited Warranty is null and void.
You Must Send Us / Record Your Purchase
In order to validate this Limited Warranty, you must document your purchase and follow written installation instructions. The original purchaser must submit the Warranty Card (below) information within thirty (30) days of purchase, or this Limited Warranty will be null and void. Federal law requires this purchase record. In addition to validation of your warranty coverage, submitting information online will allow the Manufacturer to supply necessary information after you have purchased a MoTow.

One Year Limited Warranty: Steel Components
Subject to the requirements, exclusions and limitations stated above and below, the steel components of the MoTow are warrantied to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship by the Manufacturer arising from normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. The steel components of the MoTow included in this one (1) year Limited Warranty are limited to the following: lift housing, cradle housing, cradle plates, eBike/Bike Carrier frame, and the steel hardware.
One Year Limited Warranty: Other components
Subject to the requirements, exclusions and limitations stated above and below, the original tire straps, handlebar straps, safety strap, ratchet buckles, hooks, quick link, reflective flags, 15/16 socket and motor included with a MoTow device are warrantied to the original purchaser against any defects in the materials and workmanship by the Manufacturer arising from normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
Other Exclusions Not Covered By This Limited Warranty
For purposes of this section, the term “vehicle(s)” includes any and all mediums, whether motorized or other, used for the transportation of people or goods.
This Limited Warranty covers only defects in original components which arise from normal use and does not apply if the MoTow device has been subject to improper installation and/or use (Installation and Use Instructions provided with each purchase), negligence, accident, abuse, misuse, improper loading or has been repaired or altered without the prior written consent of the Manufacturer. Damages caused by failure to provide proper maintenance and repair, loose tensioning of wheel straps (in particular, on Tow Hitches wheel straps must be tensioned “hard” to ratchet maximum based on wheel size), improper installation of handlebar straps, loose or improperly torqued nuts, or improper latching or loose nuts, bolts and/or screws (maintaining necessary tightness is the owners responsibility) are not covered by this Limited Warranty.
In addition to the above exclusions, the Manufacturer expressly excludes from this Limited Warranty the following: replacement and work performed or options installed by others; loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the MoTow device, rental or substitute equipment, loss of revenue, or other commercial loss; and vehicle wear and/or damage.
The MoTow Motorcycle Fixed Tow Hitch covered by this Limited Warranty is designed to tow no more than Six Hundred (600) pounds when attached to a vehicle hitch having a two (2) inch receiver opening, a minimum of Five Hundred (500) pound tongue weight, and 16″ to 17″ clearance measured from the ground to the bottom of the vehicle hitch opening.
The MoTow Motorcycle 18″ Adjustable Tow Hitch covered by this Limited Warranty is designed to tow no more than Six Hundred (600) pounds when attached to a vehicle having a two (2) inch receiver opening, a minimum of Five Hundred (500) pound tongue weight, and 10″ to 16″ clearance measured from the ground to the bottom of the vehicle hitch opening.
The MoTow Motorcycle 24″ Adjustable Tow Hitch covered by this Limited Warranty is designed to tow no more than Six Hundred (600) pounds when attached to a vehicle having a two (2) inch receiver opening, a minimum tongue weight of Five Hundred (500) pounds, and 17″ to 21″ clearance measured from the ground to the bottom of the vehicle hitch opening. It is recommended that a minimum towing height of eight (8) inches be maintained, measured from the ground to the bottom of the loaded cradle, and that travel speed of the towing vehicle not exceed fifty-five (55) miles per hour (mph) when the MoTow Motorcycle Tow Hitch is in use.
The MoTow Hitch Lift covered by this Limited Warranty is designed to carry no more than Three Hundred Seventy-five (375) pounds when attached to a vehicle having a two (2) inch receiver opening, a minimum tongue weight of Five Hundred (500) pounds. The MoTow Hitch Lift Motorized covered by this Limited Warranty is designed to carry no more than Three Hundred (300) pounds when attached to a vehicle having a two (2) inch receiver opening, a minimum tongue weight of Five Hundred (500) pounds. Purchaser is responsible for properly attaching any third (3rd) party two (2) inch hitch mounted carrier or rack to the MoTow Hitch Lift or MoTow Hitch Lift Motorized, and MoTow assumes no responsibility for improper installation of a third (3rd) party carrier or rack, or exceeding weight or other limitations of a third (3rd) party carrier or rack.
The MoTow Double eBike/Bike Carrier covered by this Limited Warranty is designed to carry no more than Two Hundred (200) pounds when attached to a vehicle having a two (2) inch receiver opening and One Hundred Fifty (150) pounds when attached to a vehicle having a one and one-quarter (1-1/4) inch receiver opening, a minimum tongue weight of Two Hundred (200) pounds.
Purchaser must refer to the vehicle owner’s manual for towing and tongue weight limitations for use with any MoTow device. Any use of a MoTow device that exceeds the Manufacturer’s specific limitations are excluded by this Limited Warranty.
